Learning outcomes of DISC accreditation
Our comprehensive and interactive Level One DISC profile training workshop gets HR Professionals and Consultants up and running with Extended DISC in just two half-day sessions. In the workshop, we explore the four primary behavioural styles and the use of DISC in the workplace, looking closely at:
- The scientific background of Extended DISC®.
- The strengths and development areas of the DISC profiles.
- How to motivate people and spot when they are under stress.
- How to communicate with people in the way most comfortable to them.
- Best practices and ethical considerations when administering DISC Assessments.
- Acquiring the skills to debrief an individual behavioural assessment using the Extended DISC Profiles, Flexibility Diamonds and Special Cases.
- Discovering the ten Special Cases. You will learn to identify shapes in the Profiles which indicate that an individual is experiencing an underlying emotion that may be having a significant impact on them. Knowledge that can be used to work with them sensitively and to make appropriate adjustments in the workplace.
- The reasons why businesses commonly apply Extended DISC profiling in the workplace.
How long is the DISC accreditation?
Level One Extended DISC Training is conducted regularly via Zoom. (In-house training at your workplace is available). The Workshop consists of two half day sessions; it is interactive and has a practical focus. The DISC training runs for a total of 7 hours (consisting of one 3 and one 4-hour session), including short breaks. Our virtual DISC accreditation removes the need to travel to a venue; having it over two half days allows participants time to attend to their other work and personal commitments.

How our DISC accreditation differs from others
With numerous DISC based assessments available, it can be challenging to know which one to choose. You’ll find the main points of difference between Extended DISC and other DISC assessments, along with the distinct advantages that our DISC Profile tool offers, outlined below.
Most DISC Profiles only assess 4 - 16 behavioural styles. Extended DISC Assessment reports analyse 160 different behavioural styles, which allows for more in-depth reporting and a more profound understanding of a person's unique behavioural style.
DISC assessments often focus only on what the respondents think they need to be in their current environment. Consequently, the results can be easily manipulated and change drastically over time. What makes the Extended DISC tool different is its ability to measure a person's hard-wired DISC style. The results show who the individual is as well as how they feel they need to adapt to their work environment. As a result, Extended DISC identifies the individual’s real strengths and developmental areas, allowing for accurate performance improvement.
Extended DISC Assessments are some of the most highly validated and reliable workplace assessments and undergo vigorous reliability and validation checks on a bi-annual basis. The latest study analysed over 1,005,000 results across 77 different languages and multiple countries. As a qualified Extended DISC consultant, you will boost your credibility by using the most intelligent and strongly validated workplace assessment tools on the market.
How is the training delivered?
Public Certification
The public DISC certification is a comprehensive full-day training session. Experience the facilitation of our expert trainers and learn from other participants.
A public course provides you with direct access to the trainer and the opportunity to interact with other HR experts and consultants in various industries.
In-House Certification
Do you have an HR team looking to become trained in Extended DISC? It may be more beneficial for us to come to you and run an in-house session.
We travel to your office or host an online certification where it is not possible to travel. The in-house option provides the opportunity to tailor the training to your exact needs.
Online Certification
A DISC training online certification consists of two sessions (one 3hr and one 5hr) over video conference software. They are live collaborative sessions with our Extended DISC Facilitators.
Our online DISC training program is a popular choice for those who cannot travel due to Covid-19 restrictions or those who enjoy the convenience of a live, interactive format.
Becoming accredited at higher levels
For those who are interested in gaining deeper insights and learning more about the very practical ways that Extended DISC can be used in the workplace, we also offer DISC training at the Level 2 Consultant level and the Level 3 Master Trainer level. The training pathway outlined below provides a step-by-step guide to the three training levels available and indicates what you can expect at each level of Extended DISC accreditation. Completing the level one workshop allows you to interpret and debrief Extended DISC reports and become a DISC trainer.
Level One - Practitioner
Understand the background of the Extended DISC® Model of behaviour, examine the four main behavioural styles and combinations.
Gain an understanding of how people are motivated, approach tasks and goals, experience stress and are likely to communicate. You will become fully qualified to interpret and debrief DISC profile reports.
Level Two - Consultant
This training course is available to consultants who want to take their understanding of DISC to a deeper level. Consultants will learn how to apply DISC in a workplace context to enhance business success.
The Level Two accreditation provides you with the ability to drill down into the real issues that enhance or restrict performance.
Level Three - Master Trainer
The third level of training is the Level Three DISC accreditation. The purpose of this course is for coaches and trainers that intend to hold regular DISC training courses either as a public workshop or in-house sessions.
The Level Three accreditation has strict pre-requisites and is for coaches and trainers who want to become a DISC Master Trainer and accredit others.
